Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Psalm 127, 1

Keep the Unity: If a Kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom will fall. Keep the Unity

A few years ago I locked my door and set off for the city of the big apple. I stayed there for a few months and had the most wonderful time. All those who have been there know that setting feet there is an experience of a life time. Ever since I have been following the updates we receive from overseas with a particular interest. Hearing about what NY had to endure in the past few months and what is happening now all over that big continent leaves no one untouched.

Although I tried to shake it off this heavy burden weighs heavily on all of us. You see what is happening there in broad daylight has been happening all over the world in some way or form for so many decades. Therefore I am glad to see that the children of G-d are no longer accepting the scheme that the enemy has set over their lives but they are willing to raise their voices and proclaim the truth to make an everlasting change.

Although I am encouraging those standing up for the good cause, I would like to underline the importance of the fact that every movement made has to be proceeded by prayer to make sure that G-d is leading every step. Because we need to be aware that we are not fighting against flesh and blood, it is not a fight of black against white, this never was. We are fighting a fight against the powers of the dark world, against spiritual forces of evil in high places. Remember that no man is born racist, it is a spirit that is learned through systematic negative thinking towards a certain group of people.

Therefore to break this negative force we need to ask The Creator of all things for help. Because by our own human force we will not be able to change this. Marching streets and screaming out loud will make little difference until G-d Himself steps into the scene. Therefore with every gathering there needs to be true prayer and true gospel of Jesus Christ, without it whatever little effort may be done, will make little change in long term.

G-d is only present where there is unity and prayer: Matthew 18:19-20 says:

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them.

Therefore we need to set in motion a spiritual warfare through prayer against the enemy that has been declaring a part G-d’s people as inferior to others. You see when Joshua had to bring down the walls of Jericho he knew that if he went out there with his own weapons or just his own efforts he wouldn’t have changed much, his city would still be captive by the enemy. But when G-d stepped into the scene, their mere marching and gospel singing became a holy force that broke down the walls of the city after seven days. We need to operate in the same way and know that our efforts may be great but is nothing without G-d’s presence.

You see for a man to end the life of an other human being without this being a physical war or out of defence that man has to be under a negative influence. The enemy starts with a simple negative suggestion, like he did with Eve in Genesis, then he makes sure to win enough room and then makes a disconnection between what’s right and wrong. Once this happens he takes over someone’s actions and the inevitable happens. That is why someone who has committed this irreversible act will often not even realise that he has done something wrong, because his thinking has been distorted.

Therefore it is important to PRAY and continue to read the scriptures in the Torah and the Bible in the times we are now and the times we are going. We all, as children of G-d need to pray. Like I said in my previous post the enemy is more active than before and unless we truly walk with G-d we may not recognise his scheme. Remember the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. Whenever you see that, know that it is not of G-d.  For G-d is a G-d of unity, restoration, light, love and peace. It is important that you remember this for the coming days, weeks, months and years to come. In whatever you do, see or hear, if there is no Unity, Restoration, Light, Love & Peace than it is not of G-d, in that case you need to leave it.

We are living in the most sensible times and the enemy is in the business of division. The enemy knows that if he can sow division it will be much easier to break down whatever entity it is. We’ve seen this happening to the most prominent families, to the great countries and now  the enemy is set towards this nation. The scriptures says in Mark 3:24 “If a Kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom will fall.” We all have seen this happening with other countries, now the enemy will try to use this window to saw hatred and division. Be aware of this people of G-d and protect yourself against this in prayer.

Therefore I hope that all those participating in this unseen movement out of cry for righteousness will call up on G-d because unless a movement is done with a solid base of G-d’s word, it will bring little fruit. But declaring the true words of G-d, calling up on His name while marching around or doing whatever needs to be done, if this is done with G-d’s Grace, than no steps taken will be in vain.

For He said in 2 Chronicles 7:14: If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

The training ground

In the beginning of this particular period I quickly realized that we were not fighting with carnal weapons (concreet tangible things) but that this was a spiritual warfare.
As the days and weeks went by, I noticed how not only the common men, but also G-d’s chosen ones were being served with great battles.

It made me understand that in this period all of us will be or are facing great adversity, not just a certain group. At first I thought that we were all fighting the same battle, but then quickly realised that each one of us is fighting a personal battle.

Although the carnal side of this battle is a common element; spiritually each person is faced with something different, their greatest fear. If yours is being ill, then that is what you’ll deal with. If loneliness, financial insecurities, lack of attention or worry or wathever is your biggest adversity then that is what you’ll be served at this particular time.

Ofcourse knowing this made me wonder why the Creator of all things would allow the enemy to test us in such a profound way (like in the book of Job). It is because He wants to grow our faith in Him in a greater way.

You see our current world is entering new dimensions, where the enemy is more active then before. He no longer look for loosy night clubs or dark desserted places and situations to forward his agenda. But now he attacks in bright day light. He is in the courtroom, schools, social media, jobs, parks and even churches. Well to be exact, this had always been the case even in the times of Jesus, it’s just that we are starting to be more aware of it now.

Therefore in order for us to be able to face this, The Creator of all things has to arm us with unshakable faith. The kind of faith that moves mountains, the Moses-, Joshua-, Abraham- and Sarah kind of faith.
He wants to move us from that comfortable faith which only functioned on Sundays as we attended church but was no where to be seen during the week to a faith that is within us wherever we go.

The Creator of all things wants to plant in us the kind of faith needed to fight an army of thousands with just a few hundreds (Judges 6; Gideon).
We need to know that He IS WITH US. And we need to be grounded in this knowledge in such a way that we can speak healing where there was an illness, bring hope where there was despair or speak light where there was darkness. The kind of faith that when we face the enemy in the eye, we can cast him out with the word of G-d in the name of Jesus Christ.
He wants us to know that there is a tremendous power that comes with the name of Jesus Christ. He wants us to know that nothing, by all means nothing shall be able to hurt you if you declare the name of The Lord, and have full confidence in it’s power.
So these times of solitude, quietness and personal battles is merely a training ground for the Children of G-d.
You see a soldier is only as strong as his greatest battle. If we had never had this time of testing we wouldn’t know how strong we are. We need to take the time and learn about the armour of G-d Ephesians 6.11. The Creator of all things wants us to know that the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the death is within us and by declaring the name of the Lord, we can face anything because He has already overcome the world.
Therefore I strongly recommend you to read and study the scriptures regarding the power that comes with the name of Jesus Christ and to stand tall against this world that may want to make us small and to know that you have already the victory through Jesus Christ.

Can a creation exist without a creator?

Recently I was talking to a friend of mine. For some reason I found myself asking him in the middle of the conversation if he believed in G-d. To my surprise he said, he had thought about it lately – had seen a documentary about it- and is unsure but he believes in the evolution theory. I was surprised of his answer. I have always assumed he was a man of faith and so didn’t know what to bring up to that. All I could say was that I believed in G-d, The Creator of all things.
In the past I would have found arguments to debate with someone and try to convince them that The Creator indeed does exist. But now I found a place of rest and realise that the presence of The Creator is in everything and everywhere and I wish that I could share this truth with others.
A few days ago I was thinking about the great things that have been made by men. Men have created so many amazing things, let’s take a computer for example. It is a wonderful all encompassing -man made-creation. Could you imagine giving a computer to someone who had never had a computer before and you tell him, well this was made by this company and each item on that computer was thought of and created by someone but the person you are giving the computer to looks at you funny and says no, I don’t believe that the computer was made by a manufacturer. It just came with a ‘bang’ and there it was. Up on this, you try to reason that person and tell them, that they can’t possibly assume that a computer was made by a ‘bang’. Someone thought of each and every element, the fact that there is light that comes on when you open it, the fact that you can write a word in it, the fact that colours can appear, the fact that messages can be sent to someone out there in an other country, all that was thought of by someone. Nothing happened just by chance. But the that man you are giving the computer to stick to his opinion and says nope, this was all coincidence, no one thought of all the options in a computer, all of it just happened by itself.
There you try one more time and tell him, this was truly made by a manufacturer and if there is a defect on it, well they can bring it to the manufacturer to fix it. The manufacturer will be able to solve every problem relating to that product because they were the ones that build it.
But this man still stick to his ideas and concludes that if something is not functioning on that computer, well that’s just too bad, there is nothing you can do about it because it just came by chance and so there is no fixing it.

But the man who gave the computer laughs and says well, if that is how you want to see it, that is your opinion but just remember that I told you that this computer was created by a manufacturer and that person knows every little thing that is in that computer; he knows the capacity of that computer, what it can handle and how to fix it if anything would happen to it because he is the creator and that computer is his creation.

Ever since I yield myself back to faith and started to read and study His word, my eyes opened in so many ways. Now I understand that we are mere creatures living in the creation that He has created for us. If anything is out of our understanding He has it all written down in the handbook, Torah and Bible. If there are parts that we do not understand well it’s up to us to call up on Him. You see it is His Creation, when you call up on Him He will answer. In life when something breaks without reason we would bring it back to where we got it from and ask for understanding well, if our world is breaking at this point, maybe it’s because The Creator wants us to turn back to Him. The scriptures says it clearly in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land”.
He is the same yesterday, today and will be tomorrow. So what He did in the past, in the scriptures, He can do it again today if we would only humble ourselves in prayers and not try to fix this world with our own understanding but truly trust that there is a Creator who knows more about His creation and follow His guidance then we will have the guarantee that He promises in Romans 10 9-12.

Don’t deminish the true meaning of salvation for earthly distractions

I hope you are doing well and are finding creative ways to keep yourself busy during these days. Considering that I have more time to read than usual I found myself reading more and more of the scriptures these days.

As we celebrated Pesach this week wich marks the end of the Passover, I reminisced about this past Easter.

Recently I came across a story that I never read before, while I have read and heard about a great deal of the stories in the sctiptures, this particular one was brand new for me. The story is the parable of the tenants in Luke 20.9
The story is about a landowner who owned a vineyard. As he was going a broad; he rented the land to farmers and told them to work the land while he was gone. When it came time to harvest from the land, he sent one of his servants to come and collect a part of the profit. But the farmers who were appointed to work on the land refused to give the profit and instead beat the slave and sent him away. Up on hearing this the owner sent an other servant, but the same thing happened over and over. The owner was very dissapointed, he thought maybe when I send my son they will surely listen and give a part of the profit but instead the farmers thought, this is the heir, if we kill him then the land will be ours and so they did. The owner was so dissapointed that eventually he came back and got rid of all those farmers and took back his land give it to others.

This story is a beautiful but yet painful metaphor for the Creator and the people He Created. He allowed us to live in His land while entrusting us to live according to his law. But instead we try to fulfill our own benefits not realising that this place is not ours and even our lives are in his hands. He sent us many messengers to inform us of the good news and get us back on the right path. But many neglect this and others even killed the Son.

According to the scriptures we are given the last chance now to turn our lives around. As Matthew 24.7-8 says this is not the end but the beginning of the birth pains.
I don’t know about you but I felt this past Easter Sunday being more powerful than usual. While normally we would spend it in overcrowded churches, spending more time on observing who-what-wear then on the message being shared on this special day. This time non of us was subjected to that kind of earthly distraction. Instead all of us tried in a way or form to understand the meaning of the cross and what the resurrection truly means for us. You see hearing about lives being taken all around you makes you hold on to the hope that resurrection truly means redemption and forgiveness from the sin and maybe also that everlasting life that the scriptures talks about.
While most of the time we’ll fly right through Easter between the stuffed dinners and filled bunnies, now for once we had the chance to stand still. About those filled bunnies, who came up with that anyway?
You see I love chocolate and rabbits are cute, infact it makes my day when I see one , but please do not trade your salvation for a handful of chocolate. But that is exactly what’s been happening every year.

Let me give you an illustration which might be useful to help you understand what I mean. Let’s take the 4th of July, this date means for the US the independence day. So the entire country will celebrate with barbecue, fireworks, parties and so on which is great; but don’t be fooled everyone celebrating knows that they are celebrating the independence of the United States and not a piece of meat on a grill or the party itself or the fireworks or other things. All of that is great, but at each celebration the true meaning of the celebration is underlined.

Why is it with us believers that we have become lukewarm when it comes to stand bold on the meaning of Good Friday or the meaning of Easter or Pesach? We are quick to dress up in bunnies and let our kids hunt for chocolates without sitting them down and sharing the true meaning of salvation and faith. We, true believers have traded our faith for a handful of chocolate, because year after year we became more silent about what saved us and what may save those around us.

My message to you today is don’t deminish the true meaning of salvation for earthly distractions. We need to remember that Easter signifies life after death through Jesus Christ, and as
the scriptures says those who call up on the name of the Lord will not perish but have everlasting life, John 3.16. We need to take a moment and say Thank you because although “thousand fell at our side and ten thousands at our right , none of it came near us”, Psalm 91.7 and we were kept, saved and given a new chance to life, let this life not be filled with earthly distractions but be a life filled with true meaning.

The Sabbath

Whenever I read the scriptures I would come across the word Sabbath and this particular word is often mentioned following a severe warning.

I grew up in a religious family so we held the Sabbath on a weekly basis although the notion or importance of it was never really explained, we would religiously attend the church each Sunday and would spend a great deal of the day there.

Recently as I found myself reading more and more of the scriptures, I felt the need to understand this particular notion.

The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week, which is a day of rest, it is proclaimed in the scriptures as a day that should remain holy.

When you look in the scriptures you see that the first Sabbath was observed in Genesis 2.1-3 when The Creator of all things Himself decided to take one day off to rest after creating the earth and all that is in it. He took the seventh day off and made it holy. Can you imagine that someone who is able to create light, the sun, the moon, fish and all kind of animals and also humans with His Word would need a day of rest? I mean in my human understanding, if you have the ability to do all this why even bother taking a day of rest? Because this means that you must be a super “human” right?
But according to the scriptures
The Creator of all things did just that, on the seventh day, He took a day off to rest after creating all that we humans couldn’t even accomplish in a life time. All through the scriptures in the time line that follows, people are seen to be observing the Sabbath. The next time where The Creator of all things Himself mentions the Sabbath is when He gives Moses the 10 laws. Note that this could have been 15 or even 20 but the scripures speaks of only ten rules that The Creator of all things gave to his people and within those ten comes the important notion of the Sabbath. Somehow keeping the Sabbath is of key importance, so much so that it is mentioned in the convenant that the Creator make with his people.

According to the scriptures not holding the Sabbath can bring a wrath up on the population, (can it be that a great deal of our world has neglected this and therefore we are facing with the current situation?) but keeping the Sabbath brings a blessing as mentioned here in Isaiah 58. 13-14:
“If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight
and the Lord’s holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
then you will find your joy in the Lord,
and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land
and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.”
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken”

Further on in the scriptures we can see that this notion is applied as a firm law, and when this was neglected there was a firm follow up by those appointed to observe the law or by The Creator Himself, just as mentioned in Nehemiah 13.15-22.

In our modern day life, although there are still rests of the notion of rest on the seventh day, many don’t know what this truely entails and therefore may break the rule without even entending to. Most of us are given atleast one day off from work, but often we turn to do other work to keep ourselves busy. Although this may be with the best intentions, not keeping the Sabbath is breaking the Creator’s law.

Therefore I highly encourage you to observe the Sabbath and keep it holy.

The Passover

I felt the need to share with you this word a few days ago, but wanted to study it a bit more before putting the blog out. As I was writing and almost finished my text, I didn’t realise which day it was untill I checked on the calender and saw that today is the 8th of April, the first day of Passover…

In my attempt to understand the current situation I turned to the scriptures to find an answer and I found something interesting that I would like to share with you.

When you look in the scriptures, there is one particular story that can be related to what we are currently experiencing, the story of the Passover. This is found in Exodus 11-14. I would highly recommand that you read this for yourself in the scriptures to have better picture but here is an illustration: The Israelites were working as slaves for the farao and his people. The Creator of all things sent Moses to ask the farao to let His people go but the farao didn’t want to.
Therefore The Creator of all things let Moses and Aron to perform several wonders in farao’s land because they didn’t believe in the word of G-d.
In total there were ten pleagues sent up on the land, but the most remarkable one, the one we can relate to in the current situation is the Passover.
This is when The Creator of all things told Moses that He will go through farao’s land and strike down every first born in every household but will pass over the house holds of the Israelites as they were instructed to put the blood of a young lamb that had no defect on their door frame, on the top and the sides. The pleague took place even farao’s first born was taken by the Creator of all things on that night.
The instructions given by Moses to the Israelites regarding the Passover were as follow: ((Exodus 11.23-24))
“None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning. When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down”
When you read this you can see some similarities with the current situation:
– people are asked to stay indoors
– there are lives taken in many house holds
– what I didn’t even know and only realised as I was studying to write this is the fact that all of this takes place in early spring, just as the first passover took place according to the scriptures.
Now you may wonder, do we need to put the blood of a lamb on our doors to be saved? Well if you are accustomed to this, then do whatever your authorities tell you. But I am going to tell you what this symbolizes in Christianity.
As Christians we believe in the same Creator as the Children of Israel.
According to the old testament, which is relatable to the Torah, to be redeedmed from our mistakes we had to offer a young lamb without any defect, like it is illustrated in this story, by the slaughtering of the lamb. But in the new testament this changed. We still had to be redeedmed as we are humans and still make mistakes. But the Creator of all things sent His only Son, who had no sin(no defects) to be crucified (slaughter) on the cross (symbol for sacrifice), He was bruised and through His blood we have redemption and as the scriptures says in 1.Peter 1:18-19:
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”

This is such a vast concept, there is so much to say about this. It’s amazing that as I am writing this, I am learning so much my self. But it was important for me to share this with you today. As you need to know that according to the wtitten law of the scriptures, we the Children of G-d have been redeemed through the blood of Jesus Christ who died on the cross for us but you need to believe this and declare this over your life. As written in Galatians 3.13-14.

So I would encourage you to take the time and read the scriptures for yourslef, learn all about this and declare it over your life and your households so that Nothing shall by any means hurt you for the Lord our G-d will be with us wherever we go.

The concept of authority

Lately my social media accounts have been flooded with images and videos of people praying in different circumstances. This really moves me as I believe in the power of prayer and am glad to see people turning their hearts to the right direction, so I hope that all our prayers will be answered. But what does this have to do with the concept of authority you might wonder, well bear with me as I try to explain this complex concept. At the moment I am still learning to understand this myself but felt the need to share what I have learned so far about this subject.

A while ago I would sometimes crossover on a red light when walking as a pedestrian. This would happen when there was barely a car around and thus I didn’t feel the need to akwardly stand there waiting untill the lights changed to green before crossing over. I didn’t do it often and so I never worried about it. Ofcourse while driving I would always stop but as a pedestrian it didn’t seem as important when the street wasn’t busy.
I never saw it as a big deal untill I started to feel compelled while doing so. You are now probably thinking what I thought back then: “It’s just crossing a street when no one is around, what’s the big deal?” But little by Iittle I started to realise that to abide according to the law you need to apply All of it, not just the parts you feel is more important and thus even crossing over on a red light is breaking the rules even though it was just as a pedestrian crossing the street. Because when you cross over under the green light you are abiding by the rules, this means that if something happen you are covered by the law. But if you crossover on a red light, even if it is a small street, you are breaking the law and therefore you are no longer covered if something would happen.

You see like many I wanted to use my light to help others find their path, but untill then I had never understood the concept of authority. I would pray, but without fully understanding how the power of the written word gets truely established. But little by little The Creator of all things started to show me that the scriptures is ours to lean on and apply in our life but the authority that comes with the scripture is normally only given to those who live according to the rules set in the scriptures. This means that when you live outside the written rules, you can have a good life but when the time comes to cry on to The Creator, He won’t be able to back up your prayers if you do not abide according to His rules.
Just as a pedestrian who crossed over on a red light wouldn’t be able to make any claim when needed because he was outside the written law.

Understanding this was a big eye opener for me. Untill then I spent years going over and over the same mountains not understanding why my prayers weren’t answered untill I started to realise that the scriptures speaks of ten main laws that everyone should apply in their life which are found in Exodus 20.1-17. These are not just old principals that we should throw out because we now live in a ‘modern world’, but instead this should be the corner stones on which we build our lives. Besides these main 10 (which you should know by heart), there are other basic principles that most of us know but only apply when we feel like it; such as the principles of giving and of forgiving. How many of us would pray over and over for something and sometimes even fast for it but then have unforgivenis in our hearts? While the scripture clearly says in Marc 11.25 that when we want to pray we need to forgive first, so that we may be forgiven.

In James 5.16 it says “The prayers of a righteous man accomplishes much” but who is a righteous man? That is a man who lives according to the written rules set in the scriptures. Abiding by these rules gives him the ability to claim the authority given to him by The Creator of all things.

Just as we can make a claim for the authority in our country when abiding under its rules, we can claim the authority written in the scriptures when living by its rules. These are the two major forms of authorities that one has in his life. Other form of authorities are those that occur in our natural living environments such as our parents or teachers when one attends school or university or an employer in a business environment.

In all these examples applies the same rule, you respect the authority and you inherit the blessings that comes with it. But what if one comes to be under a negative authority?
Here is an illustration. Let’s say a young teenager comes to hang out around the wrong crowd and one of them the ‘leader of the pack’, pushes the young teenager to do wrong things such as selling drugs.
This teenager knows that doing this is wrong but he feels under pressure for he is now under the authority of the ‘leader of the pack’. Well in this case the teenager could recall on his parents or school for back up in order to break this negative autoritative relationship. This is a basic example of a negative authority but this can get more complexer. Even more complex than I could be able to put on a few pages. But what I want you to know is, that every form of authority needs to allign with the written word in the scriptures and be clear, open and used for the good of all. If you find yourself in a form of authority that is against this you need to break your connection to that authority in the best and most effective way as possible and as soon as you can. In the case of the teenager, this could be changing schools and in the case of an adult this could be moving to a new city. This only needs to be done when there is no other ways to end it.
You see whoever has authority over you has power over you. If that authority is a positive one, it will build you up to become your best self, but if it is a negative one it can do you alot of damage. So never settle for a negative authority, not even in a relationship.

Now that you know about the concept of authority, know that the first and most important authority that you will have in your life is over yourself and the circumstances in your life. That is why it is important to know the scripures and apply them accordingly so that you can recall on The Creator’s authority when you need it. Even when you sin, because we all sin, what you need to do in that case is repent, ask for forgiveness and make sure you abide according to the rules of the scriptures; and when you do, go and pray boldly for the victory is already yours.
